Contraindications: Who May NOT Be a Good Candidate
While permanent makeup is safe for many individuals, there are certain health conditions and circumstances that may require postponing treatment or may make you ineligible for the procedure.
You May Not Be a Good Candidate If You:

Are pregnant or breastfeeding (unless approved by your physician).

Are under 18 years of age.

Have an active skin infection, rash, sunburn, or open wounds near the treatment area.

Have a fever or are feeling ill.

Have recently had Botox, fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, or laser treatments in the brow area.

Have active acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or dermatitis in the treatment area.

Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.

Have an active cold sore outbreak (for lip procedures).

Have recently used Accutane® (isotretinoin) within the past 6–12 months.

Have uncontrolled diabetes or other medical conditions that may affect healing.

Are currently receiving chemotherapy or radiation without physician approval.

Have a compromised immune system.

Healing Process & Aftercare
Permanent makeup goes through several stages as it heals. Immediately after your appointment, your brows may appear darker, bolder, or slightly warmer than the final healed result. Mild tenderness, redness, or swelling may also occur. As the skin heals, the color will soften and the brows may lightly flake or peel. This is a normal part of the healing process.
What to Expect During the Healing Process

Days 1–3
Brows will appear darker and more defined than expected. Mild redness, tenderness, and slight swelling are normal.
Days 4–7
Light flaking or peeling may begin. Avoid picking, scratching, or peeling the skin, as this can affect your healed results.
Days 8–14
The color may appear lighter or uneven as the skin continues to heal. This is a normal part of the healing process.
Weeks 4–6
Your brows will continue to soften, and the final color will gradually appear. A perfecting touch-up appointment may be recommended to achieve the best long-term results.
Aftercare Tips

For the best healing results, please follow these important aftercare instructions:
